Design Process
Define the problem
In order to define the problem, I’ll start by meeting with my client to establish their goals for the project. Afterwards, I inform myself with their company, product/service, and target market. From there, I begin brainstorming and gathering inspiration.
Concept creation
Now that I’ve defined the problem, it’s time to put the ideas to paper. During this process, I use everything from word-banks to generate creative names to sketching ideas in order to discover early issues. Once I feel the project is going in the right direction, I begin to refine my concepts in order to generate a few solid proofs for my client.
Feedback
To obtain the best feedback possible, I present each proof with a “near-finished” quality. This allows my clients to fully understand my direction without needing to visualize my concepts further. After the presentation, I gather my feedback and make revisions accordingly. This process is repeated until both my client and I are certain the problem has been solved.
Delivery
Once approved, production begins on the materials needed to meet the goal of the project. Whether it’s print, digital, or any other form of collateral, all materials are delivered to my client at the agreed upon deadline.
